If you replaced the word "we" with the word "you" in that quote it would describe me down to a T. It has put me in mind of this image which came up on my FB feed and has struck a real chord with me. Its direct message makes perfect sense to me and has made it easy for me today to bring my awareness back to the present everytime I have caught my monkey mind playing havoc.
Fear not though the monkey mind will always put in an appearance- she does so love a bit of nonsense or a distraction so changing the subject seamlessly and with no apparent link [it really is that random] I was most pleased to find out today who did this song that I always really enjoy but didn't know who it was by. 'Sfunnily enough (not in a funny sort of way) this topic seems to be going around at the moment - thinking/not thinking about death/dying and how society shuns the thought.

Any Goo Goo doll song speaks to me. Yep- hop hippity mind here as well. I am thouvh paying more attention to the rythm of the season and forcing/finding some appreciation for January.
