Well a couple of you were spot on. Here's the official blurb about it from Calke Abbey where I saw it.
My first thought was that it was a glass fire extinguisher but it looks like it has a metal band round the middle so I'm not too sure.
ReplyDeleteNo idea but it's a lovely colour
ReplyDeleteLaudanum. It’s a wild guess, based on my recollection of blue glass being used for medicine bottles.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I'm wrong, but was it for medicine?
ReplyDeleteits a fire bomb
ReplyDeleteLooks like a perfume bottle - we would never have guessed a fire (extinguishing) bomb.
ReplyDeleteSomething to do with poison due to the ribbing. x
ReplyDeleteI missed the chance but my first thought was poisonnnnnn!!!
