Splitting Hares

Once upon a time there was a married couple called S and A who went to Kernow on their holiday.  Whilst in Tintagel, they decided to get a gift for their dotty friend's upcoming birthday. Alas and alack dear reader this is where their strife began for they could not mutually agree on what they wanted to purchase and neither [both being of a stubborn nature] wished to give ground. Instead of locking horns they decided to buy something each which is how I ended up with two beautiful hares.....I had to laugh when they jovially recounted their Cornish tale!

  2. Both are lovely, but I especially like the pendant. Do you know the story of St Melangell and the hare?

    1. I vaguely remember hearing of a church of that name, but I don't recall the story I'm afraid.

  5. Aha. A statue that displays a hare daydreaming -- and a medallion that reveals the dream. Makes a complete set.

    1. You have your very own trip of hares then! There are 7 collective nouns for a group of hares apparently [or so Google tells me!]

    1. It seems there are many hare lovers around. They have received a bad press historically because people thought witches could turn themselves into hares.
