"Surrealism is destructive, but it destroys only what it considers to be shackles limiting our vision."
This is the type of art which resonates with me. Lovely Grey and I both thoroughly enjoyed the "Objects of Desire" exhibition which is currently showing at the Design Museum. Dali's sofa was based on Mae West's lips.
We love that hand chair.ReplyDelete
Me too....I wonder how comfortable it is? ArilxDelete
Oh yes! I'd love to see that! I've always wanted to see the lobster phone in real life! xReplyDelete
U thought it might be up your street.... it's so fabulously imaginative. ArilxDelete
Not my cup of tea, but provocative. Art should provoke a response.ReplyDelete
If art provokes a reaction from you then it's done its job. ArilxDelete
Lobster-phone and lips - love it. I studied Dali for A level art history - he still intrigues me now.ReplyDelete
Sometimes an artist changes the world. Dali falls into that category for me. I love it for its realistic details. ArilxDelete
Oh I love these! My mum bought me an address book in the shape of the Lobster phone with it as the front cover!ReplyDelete
That sounds like the perfect address book. They had lobster shaped bags for sale which seemed very popular. ArilxReplyDelete
