A Sneaky Tweak

Take one rather dull charity shopped navy cardigan....fit for purpose yet instantly forgettable....three fab buttons bought from the Foundling Museum shop and one Aril, who for the first time in her life, has done within the week what she promised on Saturday....i.e picked up a needle and stitched them on rather than adding it to the multiplying stash of unfinished projects and ta-dah!

There seems to be an award for just about everything these days so if you'd be so kind as to give me a gold star in the category of "Just Getting On With It" I'd be very appreciative! A small change, but a definite improvement upon the original methinks.

  3. I always think that buttons can make a garment interesting and/or quirky and look for unusual ones. The buttons you have used there have brought the cardigan to life. Well done!

  5. I think that you should also get a silver cup and a rosette for that!.If I had got round to doing that,I would have put my long velvet dress on and had a speech ready, thanking all my Family for putting up with all the ..stuff..that I havent got round to finishing over the years.I bought a second hand blouse, that needed a couple of buttons about 30 years ago and its still in the bottom of my wardrobe..still needing those buttons!.It wasnt vintage when I bought it,but I presume it is now!Well done on getting yours done!,xx

  7. I finally threw two pairs of pants-one because of a broken zipper and one because I dripped bleach and ruined them. I kept telling myself I can fix them, have them fixed redyed, but never did. I'm gad you had more gumption and fixed your wonderful sweater.
