  1. Recognized a half-dozen words from the vocabulary of my maternal grandfather, used when he was speaking of his youth in very rural Indiana. Born in the year of the last Indian war, he not only employed archaic terms but also spoke with an accent. (His elder sister did NOT approve of his "playing the bumpkin". He did have a college degree.)
