I promise I won't dwell on the current Olympics as I know not everyone's a fan save [afraid I am] to say that I only found out this week that each of those coloured rings represents a continent. It did amuse me to read about some of the former events that we are no longer treated to....underwater swimming, tug of war, solo synchronised swimming, tumbling, long jump for horses, one handed weight lifting and thank goodness live deer and pigeon shooting. Then there was the art competition and poodle clipping....umm. Speaking of dogs the sports commentator Andrew Cotter has produced another excellent film on an alternative Olympics if you have reached that point of wanting to tear your hair out over it all!!

Brilliant ! talking of alternative olympics - did you see that clip of the retired teacher who set up and commentated on an olympic course he set up in his garden for squirrels? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/olympics/58056707
ReplyDeleteI hadn't seen the clip....brilliant. Amazing what people get up to. We enjoy the antics of the ones that visit our feeders from time to time. Arilx
DeleteIf someone figured out how to give my shihpoo a clipping without him wanting to take their fingers off, or him being sedated, I would gladly award them a gold medal!
ReplyDeleteI don't have to deal with this type of thing having a cat thankfully! Arilx
DeleteHa!I hadn't seen the latest from Mabel & Olive. She's a true champion, that Olive.
ReplyDeleteI love the quizzical expressions on the dogs' faces!
