Plastic free tree.

If you are going to choose a real tree for Christmas you can keep your single use plastic down by taking an old duvet cover with you to put it in....stops the needles getting everywhere in your car plus you don't have to then dispose of the plastic they often come wrapped in. This is not my own idea I hasten to add...simply repeating what seems like a very sensible tip. We have a fake one here at GBT, but this gorgeous one is at Nymans.

  1. Our original fake tree gave up the ghost several years ago (something to do with being covered in plaster dust then power hosed down - a story in itself)we replaced it with a small living tree which we use every year - during summer it lives in the garden and for about 10 days - bedecked and twinkly - in the house. It does shed a few needles but not too bad.

    1. I love proper trees, but I'm too lazy to keep on top of the needles.

  2. I am imagining what a tree would look like here if we had one. After a couple of days five furry creatures would annihilate it. lol

    1. Stripped bare I would imagine. Even our cat takes an occasional swipe at any low hanging decorations if the mood takes him!

Good Friday

Hope everyone has a good Easter break. I saw this massive pug shaped egg on one of my recent forays and the utter ridiculousness of it just...
