Clap for the NHS

Last night's "clap for the NHS" was a deeply personal one for me. A family member, who's spent the last two and a half weeks in hospital fighting the virus, was discharged home yesterday. It has been a bit touch and go at times, but we are all immensely relieved and grateful for the care he's received. I think people need to hear good news amongst all the bad in these strange times.

    1. Thank you. He's still very poorly and it's damaged his lungs, but given time he will get better. Arilx

  2. Good to hear that your family is one that has a survivor. The virus is claiming so many frail and elderly in our area that nearly everyone knows a family who is in shock and mourning. That said, several centenarians are celebrating their recovery!

    1. It is so tragic isn't it. We have an amazing 99 year old man here who's done a sponsored walk over several days to raise money for our beleagured National Health Service. To date he's raised over 20 million pounds. His name is Captain Tom Moore and he's going to be 100 on the 30th April. Arilx
