A passionate response.

If I was asked to define my personal taste I would probably find it easier to start by telling you what I definitely don't like. Knowing my own taste can be harder to pin down. There are many things I encounter that I really like, but they don't evoke a spontaneous response from the heart. Occasionally something does though...this extraordinary passion flower created by Maylee Christie was one such piece. It's on display at the Farnham Sculpture Park and if I had unlimited funds and a suitable place to do it justice I would buy it in a heartbeat. Instead I have my memories and photos. Hope you enjoy them.

  2. And I'd bid against you at the auction, Aril! That's the highest bar in my criteria for evaluating art: Would I have it in my home (if I could afford it). No doubt it's relevant that we both prefer structures and artifacts that have layers of detail...something into which we can immerse ourselves and escape rude reality. :)

    1. Seems like a lot of people have had a similar response. My photo doesn't really capture the intense colour of the piece. Arilx
