A passionate response.
If I was asked to define my personal taste I would probably find it easier to start by telling you what I definitely don't like. Knowing my own taste can be harder to pin down. There are many things I encounter that I really like, but they don't evoke a spontaneous response from the heart. Occasionally something does though...this extraordinary passion flower created by Maylee Christie was one such piece. It's on display at the Farnham Sculpture Park and if I had unlimited funds and a suitable place to do it justice I would buy it in a heartbeat. Instead I have my memories and photos. Hope you enjoy them.
That is my thing as well, it's amazing. Thanks.ReplyDelete
It's the colours and textures I like. ArilxDelete
And I'd bid against you at the auction, Aril! That's the highest bar in my criteria for evaluating art: Would I have it in my home (if I could afford it). No doubt it's relevant that we both prefer structures and artifacts that have layers of detail...something into which we can immerse ourselves and escape rude reality. :)ReplyDelete
I could have looked at it for hours. It took my breath away. ArilxDelete
Glad you liked it too! ArilxDelete
That is gorgeousReplyDelete
Seems like a lot of people have had a similar response. My photo doesn't really capture the intense colour of the piece. ArilxDelete
Thank you so much for your kind comments about my flower. It was a labour of love and knowing that it touched some hearts with it, makes me really happy. xxxReplyDelete
I consider myself the lucky one to have been able to see it! ArilxDelete
You're very kind, thank you! xReplyDelete
